Choose to Trust in God

Bible Text: Genesis 48: 1 - 6

” By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.” Hebrews 11 vs 21.

Genesis 48 vs 1-6 As Jacob’s life is wrapping up, we see him with his waning strength blessing his kids & grandkids. He laid dying, but his faith in God remained firm. He could trust God for the future he would not live to see. Latter records from the Scriptures showed God fulfilled these promises. He remains ever faithful.

In our last post, Jacob had looked backward to see God’s provision & protection and could also count on Him looking forward.

Like Jacob, in spite of our physical conditions our faith in God can and should remain rock solid. Our walk and trust in Him over the course of our lives would have anchored our faith deeply in Him.

Paul, in his travails would confess his inner man is renewed everyday (2 Corinthians 4 vs16). Likewise, our challenges remain real today – relationship breakdown, failed dreams, financial hardship, loneliness, etc. But, sure will get strength through a cultivated trust in God and experience His faithfulness and tender mercies. Amen.
