Luke 2

Bible Text: Luke 2: 25 - 38

Simeon in his closing days held baby Jesus in his hands and confessed he had seen the salvation of God. It was the very climax of his existence. He would confess he could thereafter depart in peace.
As it was for Simeon, so it is for all of humanity. The climax of our existence is to see the salvation of God, personified in Jesus. As we look at Him we will live and find fulfillment (John 3 vs 14-15).
Isaiah had admonished “Look unto me all ye ends of the earth and be ye saved…” (Isaiah 45 vs 22).
When we look to Jesus in faith and repentance, we are saved from our inadequacy, moral failings, dissatisfaction, despair and depression.
We get to the mountain top of fulfillment as we are transformed into the image of the Son of God who was born and given to us. Amen
